Help and contact information for Where Is My Driver.

Getting started

  1. Open the app. Tap the gear icon in the top right to enter your name and phone number, then Save. This is optional — the app works without it.
  2. Tap Share My Location on the map and allow location access when prompted.
  3. The app creates a tracking link and opens the share sheet. Send it to your passenger over WhatsApp, SMS, or any messaging app, or copy it to share later.
  4. Your passenger opens the link in any phone browser and watches your position move on a map.
  5. When the trip is over, tap the red button on the trip screen and confirm to stop sharing.

Common questions

Does my passenger need to install anything?

No. The tracking link opens in any web browser. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

Do I need to create an account?

No. The app uses anonymous sessions, so every feature works the moment you open it. There is no sign-up, no password, and no login screen.

Why does the app ask for "Always" location access?

So your position keeps reaching your passenger while you use another app or your screen is off. Location is only sent during an active trip and stops the moment you tap the red button to stop sharing.

My passenger says the map is not moving.

Check that the trip is still active in the app (the trip screen shows a running timer), that location permission is set to Always in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Where Is My Driver, and that Low Power Mode is off. Low Power Mode can hold back background location updates.

I lost the link. Can I get it again?

Yes. While the trip is active, the trip screen has Share and Copy buttons that give you the same link again.

How do I stop sharing?

Tap the red button on the trip screen and confirm. The link stops updating right away.
